Trill Will is Building an Empire with Trill Drill, Major Collabs, and Unstoppable Drive
From the Southside of DeLand Florida, Trill Will is living proof that greatness can rise from the toughest beginnings. He wrote his first song at just 13 and over the years has evolved into a force in the independent music scene. For him, this isn’t about chasing clout, it’s about purpose, transformation, and creating something that will outlast him while lifting others along the way.
Music has been in his blood since the start. Inspired by Michael Jackson, he was playing drums by the age of five, laying the foundation for what would become his career. Today, he’s the face of a sound he calls Trill Drill, a spiritually conscious and highly original take on trap. As he puts it, it’s about drilling jewels of wisdom into the minds of listeners. That’s the difference. His music isn’t just about beats and rhymes, it’s about soul, truth, and depth.
His influences include Rakim, Snoop Dogg, Master P, Rick Ross, and Jeezy, all artists who built their own lanes and created lasting legacies. Trill Will is following that blueprint but putting his own southern soulful spin on it.
The road hasn’t been easy. In his own words, “I equate success to Heaven, but my start was Hell. I had to start in Hell to get the keys to open Heaven.” Guided early by his father, who was a music manager, and later mentored by his first road manager Dawud Bass, Trill Will put in the work. With his partner Chris Wills, he toured with Webbie and Derrick Marquis Johnson before facing a major setback, serving five years on RICO charges.
When he returned, he came back stronger than ever. He hit the road again with Webbie and Boosie, toured with CMG and Celebrity DJ YG, and eventually launched his own powerhouse, GFM Empire.
GFM Empire is more than a label. It is a complete music movement with artist development, a marketing department, a distribution deal through Empire, and its own media division called GFM Media. Trill Will has partnered with HLyfe Magazine, Heavy Motion DJs, and the Legendary DJs, creating a growing network that supports and empowers artists.
In the studio, his work speaks for itself. He has released the Supa Trill EP and his standout album Chief of All Chiefs, both packed with authenticity, lyrical skill, and proof of his resilience. His efforts earned him the 2024 Hip Hop Fraternity Scarface Award, recognizing not just his music but his leadership and cultural influence.
And he is still moving full speed. He is in post-production for Living Legend 3, recently released the high-energy single Twerk Shorty with K Roll and Ice Dogg, and has the CEO Boyz EP on the way. On top of that, his calendar stays packed with shows every weekend.
