• Arrival: You’ll receive a check-in time. Please arrive on time.
• Audition length: You have 1 minute to showcase your talent.
• Music/backing track: For auditions you play from your own device. No track is submitted in advance.
• Support: You may bring up to 2 guests for support.
• Results: You’ll receive an email within a few days letting you know if you’re accepted or not. If accepted, use the link in that email to move forward.

Why tickets after you’re accepted? We help independent artists understand the business side. Labels and venues look for who can sell tickets and fill seats. Our process is designed to teach and measure that.

For your first time securing a performance slot, you must sell 20 tickets at $20 each before the ticket deadline.

• Ticket price: $20 each (non-refundable). Buyers can still attend the show even if you don’t secure the slot.
• Requirement: You must hit 20 tickets before the deadline to lock in your performance slot.
• Set length: Once confirmed, you receive a 5-minute performance set with full sound system and your track.
• Missed deadline: If you don’t hit 20 in time, your name is removed from the ticket list. You can email support@2hotradio.com to see if there are late options, but prices are subject to change after the deadline.
• Ongoing sales: Once locked in, you can keep selling tickets up until the show to gain more points.
• Who can buy? One person can buy all 20 tickets at once if they want, and you can also purchase tickets yourself. How you hit 20 is up to you.

Once you’re accepted and added to the ticket list for a Who Wants To Make It Ticket Giveaway & Artist Showcase, a lot unlocks for you:

• Artist profile created: We create a public artist profile page on 2HotRadio.com. Fans can buy tickets directly from your profile.
• Live ticket tracking: As tickets are sold, your profile updates automatically so you can see your sales in real time.
• Branding: You can update your profile with a photo and bio so supporters see your story and image.

To perform: all you need is 20 ticket sales at $20 each. Your performance is effectively free when you bring people who pay to see you.

• BET Awards Weekend 2026: Once you sell 20 tickets for this event, you’ll be added to the list for BET Awards Weekend June 2026 in LA as a Paid Artist Ticket Seller, where you can earn 50% of ticket sales (subject to event terms and deadlines).
• Points to advance: Each ticket adds 100 pts to your score to help you move forward for a chance to perform in front of major music executives such as Shawn Barron and Raul Chirinos. Winners are chosen by Talent & Points.

Once you’ve already secured and completed a performance with us, you move into the next phase. You no longer have to sell 20 tickets just to secure the slot.

• Pay the $125 marketing fee to secure each new performance slot.
• The fee includes a custom flyer and a radio drop.
• You earn 50% of each ticket sold in support of you.
• For future shows: pay the fee, secure the slot, and get paid for tickets sold under your name.

• Tickets are $20 and sold on the event’s ticket page.
• Everyone 3 years or older must have a ticket to attend.
• Artists who secured a performance slot do not need a ticket to attend; they are on the show list.

• Guests: Have your ticket ready to scan at the door. Be prepared to say which artist you’re supporting so they get points for your attendance.
• Don’t miss the performance: Ask the artist their arrival/check-in time and aim to arrive around then.
• Artists: Check in with your stage name. It is very important that your performance track has already been submitted. Day-of submissions are subject to additional fees because we aim to be show-ready.
• After check-in: You’ll be told where to go. Stay nearby so you can hear your name when it’s time to perform.

No. Ticket sales give you points (100 pts per ticket), but having people actually show up also builds your advantage. You still perform even if some ticket buyers don’t attend, but artists who bring a crowd often end up with more points.

At performance shows (not auditions) there is a Voting Table in the back.

• Each vote typically costs $2.
• Votes add extra points for you in the competition.
• It’s a great way to gain new fans and support during the show.

You are being judged on your talent and performance. Keep the stage focused—only bring people who are part of the show in a way that helps your performance, not hurts it or distracts the judges.

For artists who feel they’re more established and want a different type of arrangement, you can send a proposal + stats (draw, streaming, socials, tour history, press, etc.) to support@2hotradio.com. We review and let you know if there’s a fit. Outside of special situations, the requirements above apply.

• When your name is added to the ticket list, you can request a custom flyer for $75. We’ll send an invoice and tell you where to send your photo.
• VIP status includes a custom flyer automatically.
• In the $125 marketing fee / paid ticket seller phase, your flyer is included with that fee.

• Once your slot is secured, you’ll receive an email with the upload link and a deadline.
• Format: mp3 or m4a.
• If you miss the deadline (or pay so late that you miss the upload cutoff), there is a $75 late fee to submit your performance track. Day-of submission pricing is subject to change.

• The billing team sends daily updates (usually once per day) by email/text with how many tickets you’ve sold.
• Any tickets sold after that day’s update will show up on the next day’s update.
• Tell buyers to select your artist name at checkout so you get credit for each ticket.

• Personal messages: DM/text people with a direct ticket link, why this show matters, and how to select your name.
• Social content: Post Stories, Reels, and go Live; shout out each buyer, share screenshots (with permission), create countdowns.
• Bundles & incentives: Offer signed merch, shout outs, raffles, exclusive tracks, or meet-and-greets for supporters.
• Local networks: Co-workers, classmates, family, churches, barbers/beauty salons, gyms, community groups, open mics.
• Collab with other artists: Cross-promote each other’s sets, share flyers, bundle support.
• Offline tools: Use QR codes on flyers or phones so people can scan and buy on the spot.
• Follow up: Most people buy after a reminder. Be friendly but consistent.

If you received the confirmation email, you are confirmed to attend the live podcast event with Deborah Byrd (books talent for the BET Awards).

• The email includes the date, hotel/venue address, and podcast start time.
• Plan to arrive early because space is limited.
• Closer to the event, we’ll send more details about check-in, schedule, and setup.

You’ll also see upgrade options in that email such as:

• Submit your music (up to 3 songs): receive feedback; all songs added to a drive that is shared with Deborah; includes priority entry.
• Perform earlier that day: 50% of tickets you sell (for qualified performers), recognition as an official performer, stronger presence in the room, and priority entry.

This is a free event but space is limited. Our first priority for seating is artists who have already performed with us.

• If you haven’t performed with us yet, your RSVP means you’re on the list, but your attendance isn’t fully confirmed until you receive the official confirmation email.
• If you’ve performed with us before but got the “not confirmed yet” message, just reply to that email so we can review your record.
• You can lock in your spot right away by purchasing options like music submission or performing earlier that day, which also include priority entry.

Yes. All 2025 VIP & All-Access performers qualify for VIP pricing (50% off) selected add-ons:

• Music submission package (up to 3 songs) — feedback, added to the drive presented to Deborah, plus priority entry.

We collect the information needed to process orders and operate our services (name, email, address, IP, etc.). Our store is hosted on Shopify, which securely processes payments under PCI-DSS standards.

Some services use third-party providers (like payment gateways) that have their own privacy policies and may be in different countries. When you use them, their rules apply too.
