Philander Earl Smith Jr. (born May 19, 1991), better known by his stage name Smitroc, is an American rapper & mixing engineer from Fairfield, California. His music career started by rhyming at an early age. In 2007, Smitroc & fellow Western rappers Trilla and Most Wett, collectively formed the group B.O.S. (abbreviation for Bust-On-Sight). The group went on hiatus after releasing their mixtape "Game Over", to focus on going back to being a solo artist. Eventually, Smitroc created his own record label, Rap Life Records. Smitroc has gone on to release eight music videos & two mixtapes, followed by numerous non-album singles. "One Verse, No Hook" mixtape was released on July 27th, 2013, which was certified Bronze on Datpiff.com, "Games", produced by JuneOnnaBeat, was released in 2017 as a non-album single, which gained a buzz on his SoundCloud account, & "Roc Appetizers" mixtape was released on May 19th, 2018. On December 14th, 2018, an opportunity came to Smitroc & he had the pleasure to be one of the opening acts for popular Harlem rapper Dave East while touring. On August 7th, 2021, Smitroc was one of the opening acts for legendary New Orleans rapper Mystikal. In 2024, Smitroc collaborated with Bay Area legends Yukmouth & San Quinn in a cypher series called "The Under Raps". As of 2025, Smitroc is currently working on his upcoming 13-track mixtape "Grand Roc Auto".
