Singer, Songwriter and Percussionist, has been in the professional music business for over 45 years.
For over ten years was the singer and band leader for the local band Orquesta Caribe in Killeen,
Texas. With Orquesta Caribe participated at many Music Festivals which includes, Temple Jazz
Festival (the only Salsa band to ever play at the festival), Killeen Hot Summer Nights, Addison Music at
the Park, Fort Hood Freedom and Single Soldier Festivals, AAFES and Class VI music activities, Sun
City Summer Dance, Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce Dance, and Baylor College Fiesta Festival.
City Night Clubs presentations include Killeen, Temple, Harker Heights, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio,
Houston, McAllen and Shreveport. Has been part of many Salsa bands in Puerto Rico, Georgia, Berlin,
Kentucky, Heidelberg, and Texas. Also participated in presentations with famous singers Tito Allen,
Hector Lavoe, Luigi Texidor, Lalo Rodriguez, and La Palabra.
At age 5, was hired by the locals from his hometown to serenade their girlfriends. Started singing in an
organized Salsa Band at age 15.
As a singer, songwriter he won on Fox 8th Latin Music Awards 2018 the “Mejor Salsero” category for
the song “Parece Que Si, Parece Que No”, and winner for Duet category with daughter Shadai on Fox
7th Latin Music Awards 2017 for the song "Tu Voz".
As a singer, songwriter, already has published over 20 songs in Spanish and English under
Jovi Jiovanni. On 2024 the Spotify streams surpassed 180 thousands reaching over 100 countries.
