Joi “LoveJoi" Bowles' story is a testament to perseverance, passion, and the power of a unique voice. Born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia, she cultivated her love for music from an early age, with her powerhouse voice initially known only within her family. As a child, she blessed her church with solos, and it wasn't long before her undeniable talent began to shine on larger platforms. Her professional journey began in her teenage years through talent shows and festivals, which led her to New York at the age of 19. There, LoveJoi became well-acquainted with the music industry, particularly with Def Jam Records. She found herself in the company of influential figures, often in studios, attending music business trips, and working alongside some of the biggest names in the business. LoveJoi's career continued to evolve, and her talent caught the attention of Grammy-winning vocalists, for whom she sang background vocals, as well as artists across multiple genres. Over the years, she's toured nationally and internationally, and shared stages with music legends like Chrisette Michelle, The Isley Brothers, Musiq Soulchild, Gladys Knight, Joss Stone, and Jazmine Sullivan. Currently, LoveJoi is focused on her own musical journey, leading her own band and building her career further with her upcoming debut EP, aptly titled LoveJoi. She continues to captivate audiences with her vocal strength and emotional depth, and has also appeared on The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 5.
