Born in Brooklyn,NY  as a child I grew up around music.   would find myself dancing and singing  to the Motown  records that my mother played but found myself fascinated to the Mariachi music that my father played very loud every Saturday morning. In grade school I touch interest in the music classes that the school provided,singing in the choir to finally joining orchestra and playing the stand up string bass. By the age of 15 I decided to start writing. My first songs with my best friend Oscar Simmons (RIP) was a rap called Cool Rock which had a rock & roll sound with a hip hop beat which finally became a popular song with the backing of some of the orchestra members who had started a rock & roll group of their own. Taking what was in my thoughts and watching it come to life encouraged me to continue writing. Before long I found myself opening up for big name artist in huge arenas and coliseums. The R&B group Hi-5  voted my friend and I  2nd place in the Texas Rap Shootout Contest with over 40 groups battling for 1st place. My love for music and the desire to do more than rap, I wrote Ballads , R&B, Rock & Roll and even Latin Freestyle songs. Feeling les by a strong tugging in my heart I walked away from the music and went into ministry where as a baby in Christ I found myself writing prophetic biblically scripture raps without being that advanced in the word. For the next few years under the name C.O.G. (Child of God) i traveled with ministries and ministered in music with well known Christian artist and even took the stage at the North Carolina Holy Hip Hop Achievement Awards with Christian Rap Artist from all over the world at Pastor and Gospel Legend John P. Kee's church in Charlotte N.C. From Kirk Franklin, Canton Jones, Lacrae, and many others I was blessed to meet and share the stage with I eventually went back to the secular music which many wasn't pleased about but I had to put out some of the songs that I had written which led me more to the Latin Freestyle sound because of my love for the music I eventually changed my name to represent my family but also to boldly say, " Don't Let The Color Of The Skin Fool You. I am who I am, Black Latin
